Welcome to the Rocklin Wave Swim Team. We are a non-profit organization that exists for the sole purpose of sponsoring youth swimming activities in the City of Rocklin and surrounding areas. Our organization started back in 1996 as a small recreational swim team and grew to encompass all facets of aquatics for southern Placer County. We are dedicated to the wholesome development of the aquatics skills for every swimmer that is appropriate to his/her level of experience and ability.

We offer a full spectrum of aquatics programs for youth ages 3-18 at the two high school swimming pools in Rocklin, CA.

Swim Lessons - Summer Aquatics

In 2012, Rocklin WAVE was asked to take over management of the City of Rocklin's summer aquatics program.  We offer a range of classes from group lessons, private or semi-private for swimmers of all ages.  These are offered in late Spring and summer months.  Registration and more information will be available in late Spring.

Non Competitive Recreational Swim Team - Splash

We also offer a non-competitive swim team where children have the ability to learn or enhance beyond what is taught in traditional swim lessons.  This is sometimes the next evolution after years of lessons if a competitive swim team is not a consideration.  Splash will run during the summer months (June and July).  Kids have the ability to join age group swim practices and may be able to compete in a season-ending swim meet.

Competitive Recreational Swim Team - Rocklin WAVE

Rocklin WAVE swim team is our competitive swim team that is part of the Northern California Swim League (NCSL).  Starting in 2016, we will swim in the Gold Rush conference, the second fastest conference in the league and is very competitively aligned.

Our recreational swim team season begins in April and runs through the end of July.  Tryouts are required and will be announced on our website.   During the Rocklin USD school year, we have practice every weekday evening during April, May and early June.  Once school is out, practice times move to morning sessions; exact times for each age group will be published on the website at the beginning of our season.

Try outs for this team are required for new swimmers to the team.  To better prepare your child for try outs we do offer swim clinics in March.  More information on registration and try out sign ups will be made available on our website and Facebook during the month of February.

Our practices are held at the Whitney High School pool and our home meets take place at the 8-lane Rocklin High School pool.  The address for our home meets (Rocklin High School) is 5301 Victory Lane Rocklin, CA 95765.

The Rocklin WAVE swim team cannot function without full parent participation that is so critical for a successful aquatics program.  Besides our parent volunteers that run the Board of Directors and act as Committee Chairs, every WAVE family supports the team during all meets, championships and social events.

The Rocklin Wave, a non-profit club, is run by its elected Board of Directors (parent volunteers). We encourage members to take an active role in the meetings, committees and fundraisers that support the team as a whole. We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well-rounded competitive swim team. Thank you for joining us. Please feel free to ask another member or coach any question you may have.

Fall and Winter Swim – Rocklin Swim Team

Besides the normal summer season for Rocklin WAVE swim team, we also offer Fall and Winter Swim to allow recreational swimmers to stay in the water September through January.  Details will be posted during August for Fall Swim and November for Winter Swim.  These are flexible practices with opportunities to participate in USA Swim sanctioned swim meets with our Mavericks team.

Year Round USA Swimming - Mavericks

Rocklin Swim Team has formed a year round USA Swimming program- Mavericks.  There are strict rules about USA swimming that prohibit swimming both recreational and USA swimming.  For more information, contact Coach Megan at coachmegan@rocklinswimteam.org.
