The registration procedure for the Santa Barbara Swim Club begins
with a swimmer evaluation. Swimmers are evaluated in the pool
by a coach on their ability to swim all four strokes - freestyle,
backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Evaluations can
take place at 3:45 pm at Los Banos or 4:30 pm at UCSB
Tuesday & Thursday. Once evaluated, the swimmer will
be placed in the appropriate group based on age and ability.
It is mandatory to show an original birth certificate or
valid passport at the time of registration. Registration
Fee and first month dues are to be paid at time of
registration. We do not prorate the monthly dues except when
joining in the second half of the month.
SBSC is proud to be able to offer scholarships to allow
swimmer’s to participate who may not otherwise be able to due
to a lack of financial resources.
SBSC and it's members are regularly covered by the media, including
photographs, video, web casting and other forms of obtaining images
of athletes participating in Team events and promotions. Joining
the team is acknowledgement and consent to this fact.
