We are excited that you
have chosen to be a swimmer and that you will soon be a
Barracuda! Our team believes that swimming can help a child
learn life lessons that are of benefit outside the pool while
learning skills that will make them faster in the pool.
Getting started is
really quite simple. Here are some easy steps that will make
your experience on our team and in our sport go swimmingly.

HERE, or on the "About Our Club" tab on the top navigation bar.
What to do
If you have not yet done so, please contact the coach to arrange an
evaluation. This short in water assessment will allow the coach to
determine if a child is ready for our team and which practice
group will be most appropriate. The coach will ask the
swimmer to swim freestyle and backstroke. He will evaluate
the stroke technique, including breathing, to be sure that the
child has the skill set necessary to begin an enjoyable experience
with the club. If a swimmer knows breaststroke and/or
butterfly, the coach will let him demonstrate those strokes,
also. If not, that's fine.
After the evaluation is over, the coach will meet with the swimmer
and parents to discuss which practice group to begin with, or what
skills need to be improved.
