Membership Information

We are excited that you are swimming with HEAT!

Please reference the HEAT folder you were given or the forms found under the "Forms/Documents" tab above for the following renewal/new registration guidelines.  The registration papers for the club and the form for USA Swimming are available to be downloaded, completed, and returned either digitally or physically to the HEAT Registrar.

Please be sure to review the HEAT Terms and Conditions as you will be agreeing to those in the process of completing the registration paperwork, whether a new or returning swimmer.  Also available for your review is the HEAT Handbook.  For further information regarding club policies and procedures please see the HEAT By-Laws located under the “About” tab.

In order to meet the administrative needs of the team, HEAT has chosen to utilize three committees.  The three committees are Social (S), Swim-a-thon (SAT), and Apparel (A).   Please choose which one of these committees you will participate with by writing in an “S”, “SAT”, or “A” at the top right corner of your registration paperwork.

HEAT has chosen to adopt fundraising processes utilized by swim teams nationally.  In order to best serve our swimmers, HEAT must meet all fundraising goals.   The minimum fundraising dues for each practice group are noted in the registration form.  The required fundraising totals can be achieved either through the Swim-a-thon or through Scrip fundraising.  Please review the “Fundraising while you Shop” insert or “What is SCRIP?” (above under the "Forms/Documents" tab) for a more thorough explanation.  In order to open your SCRIP account, please utilize the documents “How to Register with SCRIP” and “SCRIP Presto Pay”.  In order to utilize HEAT’s unique SCRIP enrollment code or if you have any other fundraising questions please contact the HEAT Vice-President of Planning.

Returning Members:  If you have had an address, phone number, or email change please contact the HEAT Registrar. All current members will be automatically renenewed for the following season, including the USA Swimming Athlete Registration. HEAT will bill your account at the beginning of September.  This amount will include your Annual Registration fee(s), your USA Swimming fee(s), and your HEAT September monthly dues. If you choose not to renew your membership and opt out of the automatic renewal, you must do so in writing no later than August 15

New Members:  As HEAT is a USA Swimming club, a member must register for both the swim club (HEAT) and USA Swimming. The New Athlete Registration Application must be completed.  Please complete all information on the Registration Paperwork.  The swim season begins September 1st.  In order to complete your swimmer’s registration, please submit the following:

(1) the completed USA Swimming Registration form here

(2) the completed and signed HEAT registration paperwork (all completed pages with a canceled/voided personal check for initiation of the monthly draft) here

(3) The completed ACH debit form here

(4) Check written to HEAT for the Annual team fee, USA fee, and first month’s due

(5) a copy of your swimmer’s birth certificate (or passport)

If you are joining HEAT after April 30 your annual HEAT registration fee will be discounted to $50. Also, you will need to complete the USA Swimming Seasonal Athlete Registration Application ($50 instead of the full fee) since you are required to renew both HEAT and USA Swimming membership on the following September 1 if you choose at that time to continue with HEAT.
