A University of Florida Gator, Dressel, became the first man to break the 19 second barrier in the 50FR. Dressel clocked a 18.3 and became a 2018 National Champion. He went on to demonstrate his college dominance by winning the 100FR in record time. He is on target to break the world records in the 50 and 100m FR and move himself one step closer to Tokyo 2020. Dressel has a unique humility and fun that he brings to his swimming that is refreshing and serves as a great example for young swimmers across the US. He grew up loving sports and outdoors with his family and gets back to those two things when he can. Dressel is a champion in-and-out of the water. Team USA is positioned for great success with Dressel leading the way.
In 1996, Josh made history by becoming the only man in any sport from any nation at the Atlanta Olympic Games to win 3 gold medals. With a passion for representing our country, Josh returned to the Olympics in Sydney in 2000 where he was elected Captain of the USA Men's swim Team. He went on to break the American record three times in his event the 200 meter free-style and won two silver medals at the 2000 Sydney Games. After 2 Olympics and 5 medals, Josh has established himself as ambassador for the sport of swimming and is pioneering the road for the next generation of professional swimmers. He is the founder of the BREAKOUT swim clinic which host over 100 events across the country each year by Olympic champions.
