GOAL Sectional Team - Best Ever Long Course Finish

GOAL scored 295 pts. and finished in 7th place in the combined team standings at the Sectional Championship Meet in Columbia, MO this past week (July 16-19).  It was GOAL's highest summer Sectional combined team finish.  The men were 5th place with 201 pts, and the women were 13th place with 94 pts (both best-ever for the women).  There were 10 individual GOAL team records broken:  Lauren Pavel (Sr. girls 100/200 breast), Elizabeth Amato-Hanner (Sr. girls 100 back, 200 IM), Dana Posthuma (Sr. girls 100/200 Fly), Molly Miller (13-14 girls 100/200 back), and Grant Holst (13-14 boys 100/200 breast).  Four relay records were broken: Sr. girls 400 Free Relay (Elizabeth Amato-Hanner, Fiona Raynor, Brianna McCullough, Brynn Robertson);  Sr. girls 800 Free Relay (Brianna McCullough, Elizabeth Amato-Hanner, Jordan McCullough, Fiona Raynor); Sr. girls 400 Medley Relay (Elizabeth Amato-Hanner, Lauren Pavel, Dana Posthuma, Fiona Raynor); Sr. boys 400 Free Relay (RJ Hemmingsen, Michael Mollak, Ryan Miksch, Jacob Molacek ** also MW record).

Luke Hemmingsen broke the Midwestern records in the 13-14 boys 50 & 100 freestyles.
