We have had some really fast swimming so far this summer with four YOTA swimmer setting eight new Team Records! We look forward to a fast championship season with many more records to come!

YOTA Summer Splash
Curry Jennings rebroke his own 9-10 Boys 100M Back record with a time of 1:29.01.
ECAC Long Course
Brayden Lauffer, representing YOTA, swam the 200M Breast in 2:18.74 to take down his record he set back in 2014 (2:21.42).
VA Last Chance
YOTA saw two team records fall at this last chance qualifier meet for Olympic Trials. Brayden Lauffer broke Charlie Houchin's record in the 400 IM set back in 2005. Brayden swam a time of 4:25.98 to drop over five seconds off Charlie's record (4:31.12) all while earning his first Olympic Trials cut! Jenny Nusbaum broke the second team record and earned the second trials cut of the weekend in the 200 Free with a time of 2:01.96! She broke the old record of 2:02.58 held by Hannah Moore from 2014.
This was the first meet held in the same pool that Olympic Trials will be held in starting this Sunday. This meet was like a test run for the facility as well as a different last chance meet for swimmers to qualify for Olympic Tirals. Hayley Bishop, representing YOTA, swam the 100M Fly in a time of 1:02.89 breaking her record (1:02.97) that she set last summer.
We are all looking forward to a great championship season coming up. Keep up the great work!
