The Tiger Sharks had a great weekend of competition at the 2016 Nick Norgar Memorial Swim Meet in Los Alamos NM. The Tiger Sharks had a total of 14 swimmers with 12 of the swimmers finishing top 5 in their events. The swimmers consisted of Dillon Brown finished 6th on his 50 FL, 100 BK, 5th on 200 FR, 4th on 100 FR and 3rd on 50 BK, Aricela Chavez finished 6th on 50 BR, 200 IM, 5th on 100 FL, 200 FR, 4th on 400 FR and 3rd on 50 BR, Isla Chavez finished 3rd on her 100 FR, 2nd on her 200 FR, 200 IM, 100 BR and 1st on 50 FR, Emily Baca finished 19th on 50 FR, Alejandro Esparza finished 16th on 50 FR, 12th on 100 BK, 100 FR, 11th on 200 FR, 2nd on 50 BK, Gracie Goler finished 4th on 50 FR, 100 FR, 3rd on 100 FL, 200 FR, 2nd on 50 FL, 200 FL and 50 BK, Joe Lewis finished 13th on 50 FR, 12th on 100 FR, 10th on 50 BK and 7th on 100 BK, Juan Romo finished 10th on 100 BK, 8th on 50 FR, 6th on 100 FL, 50 BK, 5th on 100 FR and 3rd on 50 FL, Ashley McMains finished 10th on 50 FR, 8th on 200 FR, 7th on 100 FR, 5th on 400 FR, 4th on 100 BK and 200 BK, Skyler Spriggs finished 10th on 50 FR, 8th on 100 FR, 4th on 100 BR and 2nd on 50 BK, Paisley Sweeney finished 6th on 50 FR, 50 BK, 5th on 100 FL, 200 IM, 4th 200 FR and 3rd 100 FR, Nathan Hernandez finished 1st on 50 FR, 100 FL, 200 FR, 1500 FR, 100 FR, 200 FL and 400 FR, Estevan Salazar finished 7th on 200 FR, 6th on 50 FR, 50 FL, 5th on 100 FR, 4th on 100 FL and 2nd on 400 FR, Gunner Sweeney finished 9th on 50 FL, 6th on 50 BK, 200 FR, 5th on 100 FL, 4th on 50 BR and 3rd on 400 FR.We had 2 swimmers receive the High Points award at the Los Alamos Swim Meet. Isla Chavez received 2nd place High Point award and Nathan Hernandez received 1st place High Point award. We are extremely proud of all the swimmers for all their hard work and dedication. The Team will be heading to ABQ. July 9th-10th for the Duke Last Chance meet. We look forward to having more State qualified at this meet before the State Championships.
