Four Keyano swimmers were selected to Team Alberta's Emerge Camp, which took place over the weekend (Dec 8-11). The swimmers competed for Alberta at the 2016 FastSwim Classic in Richmond, BC.
Jasmine Bagnasco had best times in 200 IM, 50 Back, and added individual Bronze medals in the 50 Fly and 50 Back. She also swam a great Butterfly leg of the 12-13yo 4x50 Medley Relay to help Team Alberta to a Gold finish.
Marco Bagnasco had best times in 200 IM, 100 Back, 50 Fly and 50 Back, and added individual Gold in 50 Back, Silver in 50 Fly, and Bronze in 100 Back and 50 Free. Marco also swam Butterfly on the 4x50 Medley Relay to help Team Alberta to a Gold finish. Marco's 200 IM was a notably huge 7.7sec best time.
Kyla Nelson had best times in 200 IM, 200 Fly, 50 Back, 50 Free, 200 Free and 100 Fly. Kyla added individual Gold in 200 Fly, 50 Fly, and 100 Fly, Silver in 200 Free, and Bronze in 200 IM, 100 Free, 50 Back and 50 Free. Like her teammates, she swam Buttefly on the 14-15yo 4x50 Medley Relay to lead Team Alberta to a Gold Finish. Kyla's 200 IM was also a notably huge 7.2sec improvement since October.
Kier Przyswitt had best times in 200 Fly, 200 Free, 50 Fly, 100 Free, 400 IM, 50 Back, 50 Free, and 400 Free. Kier added individual Silver in 50 Free, and Bronze in 100 Free and 400 Free. Kier rounded out the Keyano sweep of the Butterfly legs in the 16&O 200 Medley Relay, helping to lead Team Alberta to a Silver Medal. Kier had some doozie best times, with a 20sec PB in 200 Fly, 8sec PB in 400 Free, and 39sec in 400 IM!
