FINAL RECAP OF FL SENIOR CHAMPS

From the 2017 Florida Senior Champs, a final recap of the last night and overall meet.  We had another strong night on Sunday, in the swimming mile [1,650 yd.] Andrew Kalaman finished 6th and Jared Repassy finished 10th, both in lifetime bests.  Teammate TC Smith finished 3rd in the open division.  Chance Phillips swam to another best time with a 30 second drop from his previous best in this event.  On the women's side, Alex Graham posted a huge drop in her mile to finish in 13th place.

In the 200 fly Tori Holcomb took a 13th place by equaling her previous best.  Andrew Kalaman wasn't as fresh as he was in prelims having swum an all out 1650 between the two swims, but still managed to finish in 15th, just ahead of him was teammate Sebastian Aguirre who posted a seasonal best time in his 200 fly for 13th place.

Ryley Ober put in a pair of 2nd place finishes with both best times and new team records in the 100 free and 100 breast.  Jillian Santiago finished 13th in her 100 free.  Teammate Anna Freed finished 11th in the 100 free and then took a 5th place finish in the 200 back.

Also swimming in the backstroke for the men was TC Smith, 5th place in open, Connor Kesten finished 13th in the 15-16 yr. old.  Scoring in the 100 free for the men was Xander Gardner with a 7th place finish.

As a team, the Tsunami women finished 7th, just 4 1/2 points out of 5th place and the boys finished tied for 11th place with SwimFlorida.  As a combined team we were in 8th place.  This is the first time that any of our team finishes were in the top 15 at this meet.  Great meet, way to go TSUNAMI.
