Wright County WAVE Swimmers Break 3 Club Records at the Tuna Splash

This past weekend Wave swimmers participated in the 2017 NHCP Tuna Splash swim meet at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.  Highlights from the meet include the following record breaking swims:

Congratulations to Zoe Hiers who broke Annika Bordak's 11-12 Girl's 100 Meter Backstroke Record set in 2006 with a time of 1:25.52.

Congratulations to Dakota Malwitz who broke his own record set earlier this summer in the 13-14 Boy's 50 Meter Freestyle Record with a time of 29.17.  Dakota also broke Joshua Praught's 13-14 200 Meter Freestyle Record set in 1996 with a 2:24.26.

The following Wave swimmers also turned in amazing swims:

Allen Bertelson earned his first B time in the Boy's 8-Under 50 Meter Backstroke and then followed it up with his second B time in the 50 Meter Freestyle.

Dugan Kuzma earned new C times in the Boy's 9-10 100 and 50 Meter Freestyle.  Just missing a B time in each by a hair.

Jaidyn Brady earned a personal best time in the Girl's 9-10 50 Meter Back.

Rylan Close swim personal best times in the 9-10 Boy's 50 Meter Free and the 100 Meter Back

Isabelle Hansen swim personal best times in the Girl's 9-10 100 Meter Breaststroke and the 50 Breaststroke.

Taylar Swearingen swim personal best times in all three of her events.

Junior Milburn swim personal best times in the 9-10 Boy's 50 Meter Freestyle and the 50 Breaststroke.

Nice job to Emmie Close and Kelly Hanson who both swam their very first meet in a Long Course 50 Meter Pool. Each setting new personal best times in three events.
