Wave Swimmers turned in some amazing swims this past weekend at the 2017 Minnesota Summer Long Course Regional Championship Swim Meet this past weekend in Mankato.
Allen Bertelson beat Eric Susa's 2009 Boy's 7-8 50 Meter Freestyle Wave Record with a 51.66.
Kassy Shroyer beat Angelee Hale's 2007 Girl's 13-14 100 Meter Freestyle Wave Record with a 1:07.20.
Brianna Shroyer took down six Girl's 11-12 Wave Records including: the 50 Meter Freestyle with a 31.27, the 100 Meter Freestyle with a 1:08.96, the 50 Meter Backstroke with a 36.27, the 100 Meter Backstroke with a 1:21.70, the 200 Meter Breaststroke with a 3:10.08 and the 200 Meter Individual Medley with a 2:47.56.
Brianna also achieved 4 NEW Champ times this past weekend that she will swim at the state meet this week.
Other outstanding swims included: Rylan Close taking home an 8th place metal in the Boy's 9-10 50 Meter Freestyle. Isabelle Hansen's new personal best time of 59.16 in the Girl's 9-10 50 Breaststroke. Zoe Heirs new personal best time & near miss of a champ time in the Girl's 11-12 50 Backstroke. Elle Kaiser's new personal best times in both the 400 Meter Freestyle and the 100 Meter Freestyle. Kelsey Rhodes new personal best times in both the 50 Meter and the 100 Meter Backstroke. Sydney Rhodes new personal best times in both the 50 Meter and the 100 Meter Freestyle.
As our Summer Long Course Season nears the end we look forward to watching the following Wave Swimmers participate this week at the 2017 Minnesota Summer Long Course State Championship Swim Meet: Marna Hanson, Sophia Hanson, Ryleigh Hawkinson, Kelsey Rhodes, Sydney Rhodes, Brianna Shroyer, Kassy Shroyer and Emily Strommen.
