Day 3 Long Course State Championship Recap

 

Greetings MAC Fans!

 

We picked up 11 more State Championship Titles on the last day of State! Our 13-14 Girls (Avery Maxwell, Sela Etzel, Anya Craig, Taylor Thorne) completed the sweep of the relays by winning the 200 Free Relay! Our 10 and Under Girls (Makayla Gatz, Myla Spoon, Elly Lewis, Ella Stack) also picked up the title in their 200 Free Relay! Addy Lewis added a third title in the 50 Fly with a new team record of 32.52! Sean Murphree added two more tonight winning the 50 Fly and 100 Back bringing his total up to 4 for the weekend. Danny Spoon swept the 8 and Backstrokes winning both the 50 and the 100! Avery Maxwell picked up the 13-14 Girls 100 Back title and Kelsey Ammons took home the victory in the 17-21 Girls 100 Backstroke. Sela Etzel won the 13-14 Girls 200 Breaststroke and Finnian Westenfelder won the 15-16 Boys 1500 Free!

 

Wesley Dennison (200 Breast 4th, 100 Back 2nd), Leo Westenfelder (100 Free 8th, 100 Back 5th), Yilan Groenenboom (50 Fly 5th, 100 Back 4th), Ellie Shadwick (50 Fly 7th, 100 Free 8th, 100 Back 6th) poured on the finals swims this evening.

 

Reagan Remmers (4th, 11-12), Keidon Reynolds (6th, 15-16), and Hunter Harrington (2nd, 13-14) found a nice time drop in their 50 Fly!

 

I want to thank all of the swimmers for a fantastic State Meet! It was a great way kick off our championship season. Next week will cheer on Kelsey Ammons, Isabella Seagrave, Avery Maxwell, Sydney Archibald-Wilson, Aidan Condit, Finnian Westenfelder, Lyndon Amon, Tanner Baldry, Simon McMahon,and Sawyer Keyes at Senior Zones in Clovis,California and Mari Aoki, Jessilyn Ecklund, Gabby Smart, and Darragh Mahns at Futures in Santa Clara, California. The following week we will be cheering Addy Lewis at Age Group Zones in Roseville, California and Katharine Berkoff at Junior Nationals in East Meadow, New York!

 

Remember: Tomorrow will be our last practice of the Long Course season from 8-9am at Splash Montana!
