BIG SWIMS TODAY at YNATS and ZONES!

YNATS -

The Girls 200 Free Relay got second in B finals and got the night started, 10th overall, great swims Omega Pinnix, Annie Carr, McKenzie Campbell, and Emily Ally!  Then Ethan Knorr podium'd with a 5th Overall (A finals) in the 200 backstroke with a new Summer (and Winter) Junior National Cut, fastest time standard out there geared towards 18-unders, WOW!  Finally, the girls 400 Medley Relay Relay with Heather Sigmon, Eliza Gesse, McKenzie Campbell, and Omega Pinnix WON B finals, 9th overall, and swam a NEW Winter Junior National time standard, another WOW!

Lots of GREAT prelim/time trial swims this morning as well, highlighted by NEW BEST TIMES from Alaina Joyce, Katie Knorr, Brandon Van Der Linden, Craig Herndon, and Piper Burton - KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK MAKOS!

BIG SHOUT OUT TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS, WE ARE SEEING MAKOS EVERYWHERE THIS MEET!!! Special thanks to our brave swimmers tonight who treaded water forever holding the YMCA Banner, and those that held the flags, GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

ZONES -

GCY's Noah Rock split a 29.43 on the butterfly leg of the 11-12 Mixed Medley Relay that got SECOND overall in a BIG FINISH for North Carolina down in Tupelo, Mississippi, congrats to Noah and the entire NC All Star Team, as North Carolina is 3rd overall right now going into the second day of competition!
