The Kamloops Classic Swim Club had an outstanding week of racing at the 2017 Canadian Senior National Swimming Championships in Montreal, Aug 4-7, 2017. The Classic’s place 20th out of the 120 team competition. The Classic’s had 4 swimmers attend the meet with all 4 swimmers making second swims from their preliminary swims in the morning sessions to competing in the evening finals at the meet.
The Classic’s were lead by Colin Gilbert who won a Bronze Medal in the 400 Freestyle while setting a new club record of 3:52.79. Gilbert also finished 6th in the 200 Freestyle and 5th in the 800 Freestyle.
Ethan Jensen made all three “B” Finals in his 3 swims placing 3rd in the 100 Fly, 5th in the 200 Fly and 9th in the 50 Fly.
Eloise Ladyman in the “A” Finals placed 9th in the 50 Backstroke. In the “B” finals she placed 5th in the 100 Backstroke and 9th in the 200 Backstroke.
Megan Dalke in the “A” Finals placed 6th in the 400 IM and 9th in the 800 Freestyle. In the “B” Finals she won the 400 Freestyle and placed 2nd in the 200 Fly.
