TSM Swimmers Samuel Telanoff, Andrew Hanson and Sebi Alcock attended the Santa Monica Sharks end-of-summer Sharks potluck last week to catch-up with City of Santa Monica Sharks coaches Ken Fujimori and Will Bentley. Years ago, coaches Ken and Will introduced Sammy, Andrew and Sebi and inspired them to continue competitive swimming. Now they are #killingit in TSM’s National Development group, achieving various Sectional and USA Junior National cuts this past season.
For more than 60 years, non-profit TSM and the City have worked together to help youth become not only safe in the water but to pursue personal excellence through the sport of swimming. Both TSM and City Sharks programs provide instruction and training opportunities to area youth, and offer financial scholarships. SMMUSD students in either program are eligible for Independent Study PE credit.
Nearly every afternoon at the Santa Monica Swim Center, you can see for yourself the hard work TSM swimmers and Sharks put into their swimming and the broad range of athletes the two programs serve. We are extremely proud of all our athletes, and thankful for the TSM-Sharks relationship and City support that contribute to this success.
GO TSM! Go Sharks!
