Four Condors Swimmers Named to USA Swimming SSA Team

The Condors Swim Club is proud to announce that four of our swimmers have been recognized by USA Swimming as 2016-2017 Scholastic All-American selections.  Cassie Freeman, Christi Regenauer, Michael Daly and Ryan Lawson were named to the SSA team for their outstanding efforts both academically and athletically.  To qualify, a swimmer must have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade with a minimum 3.5 GPA and meet the qualifying times standard of the 2016 Winter Junior qualifying time.

Cassie Freeman - As a Senior at Pascack Valley High School, she earned a 4.53 GPA and met the qualifying times for the 100 Butterfly and  200 Butterfly.  This was Cassie’s second selection to the SSA team.

Christi Regenauer - As a Sophomore at Albertus Magnus High School, she earned a 3.815 GPA and met the qualifying times for the 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, 100 Fly and 200 Individual Medley.  This was Christi’s first selection to the SSA team.

Michael Daly - As a Junior at Pearl River High School, he earned a 96.3 GPA and met the qualifying times for the 200 Individual Medley, 400 Individual Medley, and 200 Backstroke.  This was Michael's second selection to the SSA team.

Ryan Lawson - As a Junior at Tappan Zee High School, he earned a 3.50 GPA and met the qualifying time for the 1650 Freestyle.  This was Ryan’s first selection to the SSA team.

Metropolitan Swimming had 33 swimmers placed on the SSA team and the Condors were tied for the 2nd most qualifiers in the LSC.  Again, congratulations to Cassie, Christi, Michael, Ryan and their families on this huge accomplishment.  The Condors Swim Club mission is to inspire excellence through hard work and perseverance and we are proud to see our swimmers achieve in the water and in the classroom.
