​​Saturday​ ​November​ ​4th-Sunday​ ​November​ ​5th,​ ​2017

Meet Goals and Purpose:

1. For​ ​JOW,​ ​OW,​ ​and​ ​JAG​ ​swimmers​ ​to​ ​gain​ ​meet​ ​experience​ ​at​ ​a​ ​multi-day​ ​competition​ ​that includes​ ​finals.

2. Applying​ ​race​ ​strategies,​ ​skills,​ ​and​ ​techniques​ ​from​ ​practice​ ​at​ ​a​ ​meet

3. Cheer​ ​on​ ​teammates​ ​and​ ​have​ ​fun!

Meet​ ​Stats​ ​(ex.​ ​number​ ​of​ ​swimmers,​ ​best​ ​times,​ ​first​ ​time​ ​competitors,​ ​etc.): 

ýý We​ ​had​ ​97​ ​swimmers​ ​in​ ​the​ ​meet​ ​from​ ​first​ ​time​ ​swimmers​ ​in​ ​JOW​ ​to​ ​long-time​ ​vets​ ​in​ ​HP

ýý RIDICULOUS​ ​amount​ ​of​ ​best​ ​times​ ​:)

ýý Despite​ ​most​ ​of​ ​the​ ​AGP,​ ​P,​ ​and​ ​HP​ ​swimmers​ ​being​ ​out​ ​of​ ​town,​ ​our​ ​JAG​ ​and​ ​under​ ​​ ​swimmers were​ ​just​ ​fantastically​ ​loud​ ​during​ ​their​ ​cheers​ ​and​ ​had​ ​a​ ​strong​ ​and​ ​positive​ ​deck​ ​presence.

1. First​ ​time​ ​Provincials​ ​Qualifiers:​ ​(some​ ​even​ ​qualified​ ​in​ ​the​ ​next​ ​age​ ​group​ ​up!)

OSC had quite a few alternates who were well-prepared and able to take advantage of no-shows in finals. Lots of   extra best times and team points were earned in the last session of the meet, with several​ ​second​ ​alternates​ ​getting​ ​in​ ​and​ ​swimming​ ​lifetime​ ​best​ ​times!​ ​
