The Ozark A Championships was a record setting weekend for the CSP Tideriders. The team had a target on them all weekend, but still, we ended the meet winning our 5th straight Ozark A Championship. As we told the kids at the meet, we are the only team to win it 3 times in a row, 4 times in a row and now 5 times in a row.
The Records were falling all weekend long. CSP 11 – 12 Girls set a new Ozark Record in the 400 Medley Relay with Sarah Donohue, Juliette Phillips, Lily Hsieh and Alex Snyder. They also teamed up to break the 11 – 12 Girls 400 Free Relay Record. Lily later went on to set new Team Records in the 50 Fly and 100 Fly, while Juliette did so in the 100 IM.
The 11 – 12 Boys went on to break a Team Record in the 200 Medley Relay with Graham Zucker, Tommy Wickersham, JD Suarez and Henry Unger, while the 13 – 14 Girls set a new Team Record in the 200 Medley Relay with Sophie Henriksen, Anna Scott Baur, Talia Warticovschi and Abby Wickersham.
The 13 – 14 Boys went on a Record-Breaking spree, setting 3 new Team Records in the 800 Free Relay, 200 Free Relay and 200 Medley Relay with Eric Ji, Kledi Kadiu, Lee Naber and Ryan Mauney teaming up to break all 3. Kledi also went on to Break the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 200 Breast and 100 Fly.
Andrew O’Brien set the 15-16 Boys Team Reord in the 50 Free while leading off our 200 Free Relay.
Alex Gelman also set a new Team Record in the 200 Breast for the 15 – 16 Boys.
On top of all the Record Setting performances, we had a number of qualifiers to different USA Swimming Meet.
Qualifying for Winter Juniors was Kirsten Votava, in the 100 Fly. Andrew O’Brien got the Bonus Cut in the 50 Free.
Qualifying for NCSA Junior Nationals was Kledi in the 100 Free, 100 and 200 Breast, Sophie in the 100 Back and Max Kostelac in the 50 Free.
Qualifying with new Sectional Cuts were Kledi, 200 Free and 100 Fly, Anna Scott in the 200 IM, Lauren Beard in the 100 Breast, Max in the 200 Free and 100 Breast, Eric in the 400 IM, Sophie in the 200 Free, 100 Free and 50 Free, and Christina Jurotich in the 200 Fly.
Qualifying for Sectionals for the first time were Jessica Briers in the 200 Back and Lily in the 100 Fly.
The CSP Tideriders went on to win both the 10 & Under Girls and 10 & Under Boys Age Groups and were led by Sophia Snyder, placing 3rd in the Girls High Point.
Winning events for the 10 & Unders was Charlotte Brown and Sophia, while making Finals were Avery Cunneen, Jacqueline Hu, Spencer Kinsey, Penny Riswadkar, Timmy Siebenman, Camden Theodos, Evan Wiley, Madeleine Williams and Henry Zucker. Emma Welch placed in the Top 16 in multiple events. Also, Colin Cunneen and Wills Dino were part of the 10 & Under Boys Championship Team.
Swimming in the 200 Free Relays, Charlotte, Avery, Madeleine and Sophia were 3rd, and Anya Desai, Ella Welch, Penny and Macie DiGuiseppe were 7th for the Girls, while Owen Eisenbeis, Spencer, Timmy and Henry were 3rd and Bennett Cuculich, Max Boevingloh, William Unger and Evan were 4th for the Boys.
In the 200 Medley Relays, Avery, Charlotte, Penny and Sophia were 2nd, while Emma, Madeleine, Ella and Macie were 6th for the Girls and Henry, Spencer, Timmy and Owen were 3rd and Evan, Max, Bennett and William were 4th for the Boys.
CSP went on to win both the 11 – 12 Girls and 11 – 12 Boys Age Groups, with Lily winning the High Point for the Girls and Juliette was 3rd, while JD was 2nd for the Boys.
Winning individual events were Sarah, Lily, Juliette, and JD, while swimming in Finals were Trey Cunneen, Amelia Dino, Daniel Garza, Alex, Jillian Thomason, Tommy and Graham. Scoring in the Top 16 were Abby Carr, Grace Coppel, Erica Engelhardt, Lily Ta and Henry, while Isabel Phillips was also racing at the Ozark A Championship Meet.
The Girls went undefeated in the 200 Free, 400 Free, 200 Medley and 400 Medley Relays, with Sarah, Juliette, Lily and Alex teaming up to win all four of those events. In the 400 Free Relay, Katherine Bias, Jillian, Amelia and Grace were 6th, while Lily, Erica, Everdine Ferguson and Delia Zacks swam exhibition. In the 200 Free Relay, Grace, Katherine, Amelia and Jillian were 6th. In the 200 and 400 Medley Relay, Lily, Abby, Jillian and Katherine were 6th.
The Boys team went on to win the 400 Free Relay and both the 200 Medley and 400 Medley Relays with the team of Graham, JD, Tommy and Henry. Joseph DiGuiseppe, Sam Ellenhorn, Daniel and Trey combined for the 400 Free Relay and ended up in 8th and then later teamed up to finish in 6th in the 200 Free Relay. In the 400 Medley Relay, Trey, Daniel, Joseph and Cade Kostelac finished 8th, and then later teamed up to finish in 6th for the 200 Medley Relay.
CSP went on to win the 13 – 14 Boys Age Group and finish in 2nd in the 13 – 14 Girls Age Group. Kledi won the 13 – 14 Boys High Point, while Sophie was 4th for the Girls.
Winning individual events were Sophie and Kledi, while swimming in Finals were Anna Scott, Margaret, Jessica, Mary Dieckhaus, Eric, Franklin Liu, Ryan, Cameron McCrary, Lee, Niko Theodos and Abby. Qualifying Top 16 were Steven Busch, Audrey, Graham Fredman, Erin Lamping, Ned Mehmeti, Andrew Smock, Sophie Thompson and Talia.
For the Girls, Sophie, Anna Scott, Jessica and Margaret teamed up for the 2nd place finish in the 800 Free Relay, while Abby, Talia, Sophie and Audrey were 5th. Sophie, Abby, Anna Scott and Jessica combined to finish in 2nd in both the 200 Free and 400 Free Relays, while Margaret, Talia, Madelyn Schoedel and Sophie were 7th in the 400 Free Relay and Audrey, Mary, Margaret and Talia were 3rd in the 200 Free Relay. In the 400 Medley, Mary, Anna Scott, Sophie and Abby were 3rd, while Margaret, Jessica, Talia an Sophie were 5th. Sophie, Anna Scott, Talia and Abby were 2nd and Margaret, Jessica, Mary and Sophie were 5th.
The Boys Team of Eric, Kledi, Lee and Ryan won the 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay and 200 Medley Relay and placed 2nd in the 400 Medley Relay. Steven, Andrew, Franklin and Cameron teamed up for a 7th place finish in the 800 Free Relay. Steven, Graham, Cameron and Franklin went on to a 9th place finish in the 400 Free Relay, and then Steven Graham, Cameron and Andrew were also 9th in the 200 Free Relay. In the 200 and 400 Medley Relays, Cameron, Andrew, Steven and Graham were 5th.
The 15 & Over Girls were 2nd in their Age Group, while the 15 & Over Boys were 4th. They were led by Maddie Mather finishing in 4th place and Kirsten 5th in the High Point Awards.
Winning events were Matthew Hillmer, Paige Mitchell and Kirsten, while swimming in Finals were Lauren, Riley Deutsch, Joanna Dohrman, Payton Dunn, Alex, Nancy Hulslander, Katie Knapp, Max, Caroline Liekweg, Claire Lin, Maddie, Gracie Morris, Andrew, Bella Snyder and Patrick Unterreiner.
Making Consolation Finals were Christopher Ball, Koji Barrette, Nicole Beard, Claire Brouillet, Benjamin Evra, Alex Fox, Jackson Fox, Samuel Garza, Christina, Cami Nourie, Maddie Palatt, Justin Pasquesi, Noah Unger and Wil Welch, while also competing at A Champs were Sophie Fredman, Nathanial Marsters and Emily Schroeder.
In the Girls 800 Free Relay, Paige, Bella, Nancy and Maddie were 2nd, while Kendra Howard, Payton, Caroline and Claire were 7th. The Boys Team of Justin, Matthew, Max and Koji were 4th, while Wil, Aaron Garner, Christopher and Jackson were 6th.
In the 400 Free Relay, winning for the Girls were Paige, Claire, Christina and Nancy, while Nicole, Katie, Kendra and Bella were 7th. Matthew, Max, Andrew and Justin were 3rd, while Christopher, Jackson, Koji and Wil were 10th.
Nancy, Katie, Claire and Paige were 3rd for the Girls 200 Free Relay, while Katherine Kempf, Corinne Michael, Bella and Christina were 8th and Andrew, Max, Matthew and Chris were 2nd for the Boys and Jack Bodnar, Jackson, Patrick and Noah were 12th.
In the 400 Medley Relay for the Girls, Katie, Lauren, Paige and Christina were 4th, while Claire, Cami, Riley and Corinne were 8th. The Boys Team of Andrew, Patrick, Justin and Max were 2nd, while Christopher, Nathan Lin, Koji and Jackson were 10th.
Katie, Maddie, Paige and Nancy were 3rd in the Girls 200 Medley Relay, while Maddie, Nicole, Bella and Christina were 7th. Andrew, Patrick, Max and Matthew were 6th for the Boys and Christopher, Nathan, Koji and Jackson were 9th.
