SRVA Continues Strong Season at OAPB CBA

Coach Rich:

The Senior Group swam very well this last weekend. We recognized that there are different challenges at different meets and learned to deal with them so we could swim fast and give a performance of which we are proud and that is representative of the improvements we have made in the last 2+ months.

Highlights:

Dillon Smith broke the TEAM record in the 13/14 100 Fly and Caitlin Tan just missed her team record in the 13/14 200 Fly.
Others that swam really well were:

Frankie Fitzpatrick in the 50 Free
Jonathan Tan in the 200 Fly Final
Christopher Guidi in the 1000, 200 Back and in making his "Seattle Cut" in the 1650.

Coach Andy:

This meet was an opportunity for the SR Development group to experience swimming a meet two weekends in a row, which does happen more often when you get to the senior level of swimming, it does take a different mindset to be successful. The group did this very well as they had 61% best times both weekends.

Sathvik Katragadda 6 of 7 swims Life Time Best (LTB)

Coach Paschalis:

One more swim meet just pass by and we had a really good participation at least for the first day from both groups. Orinda has being in the past a very good destination for all of our swimmers performing very well.

A couple of swimmers that were very consistent through the whole meet was from Age Group 2, the sisters Bori and Erin Kim which both showed a great energy in all of their races and had a great weekend.

Similar on that tempo was also Irene Devadason, which she had a great weekend and her first JO time in the 50 yards butterfly for the 10 and under years old with the time of 34:59.

Good job to everyone and looking forward to see in the future even bigger participation from both groups so we can look into the things we need to work on and improve on our end of each season goal meets.

Wish you to have a great week.

Coach Larry:

Age Group 1 had a great meet with a bunch of strong swims.  Everyone that swam had multiple lifetime best times and swam with great technique.  This group continues to work hard and this meet showed their hard work in action.

Haley Wong was 4 for 4 lifetime best times.  Jonas Co was 2 for 2 lifetime best times.

The Pre-Senior group continues their strong season.  We had a great meet a week prior at the SASO Invite and they swam even better this weekend.  We had a group of swimmers who started swimming with a lot of confidence.  They were going out fast and being aggressive, and building through their races.  This takes a lot of courage, so it was extremely excited to see them swim like this.  We will work to build on this success and continue to improve.

Ava Tseng and Aaron Jiang had all lifetime best times in their 8 races.
