We have Purple practice tomorrow morning and a combined practice at Lancaster tomorrow night. The night practice will only last for about one hour until 7pm or so. Those traveling to Mason tomorrow night to stay over prior to the meet are excused from the night practice. Some may ask why we swim like this the day before the meet? There is a good reason, part of performing well in tournament and championship meets is to be able to swim when you are tired. Having practice before these early season meets does ensure an experience of swimming when you are tired. Managing swimming tired well, is an important skill for our athletes to develop, so we help them by scheduling meets and practices like this during the early season to prepare them.
We need to provide three timers for this Mason Invitational meet. Two from Pickerington North to cover lane 3 from 11:00am to 1:15pm, second shift 1:15pm until the end of the meet. One timer from Central from 1:15pm until the end of the meet in lane 2.
Sign up to time at this link: https://www.teamunify.com/EvJobSignup.jsp?team=rechspkhs&event_id=857318 please volunteer before noon tomorrow and they will waive your admission fee but they need your name before noon tomorrow.

FINALS & TRAVEL FOR FINALS
In addition, Finals for this
meet has warm-ups begin at 5:00pm (Meet starts at 6:00pm).
THERE WILL BE NO BUS HOME FOR SWIMMERS SWIM AT
Therefore, we need a
travel release for those swimmers.
Advice for the bus and meet: bring a blanket and or small pillow so you can nap on the bus on the way and be comfortable, you can also use this in any team camp area that may be provided. Bring drinks and snacks with you for the meet. Concessions may be provided however it may not be the kind of food you like. Bring warm ups, hoodies and warm clothing to wear between events. Sometimes areas of facilities we may be staged in can be chilly, then you walk into a pool area that is very warm, prepare by wearing layers. We do not want you shivering at any time during this meet, that energy is best used for swimming. Bring something to read, music to listen too etc. Bus rides and swim camps are a great bonding time for swim teams, we know you will enjoy this! Please take some photos at this meet we will use them in our banquet slideshow!
