Hurricanes Pass the Gravy at SYS Turkey Meet!

Hurricane Swimmers and Parents:

At the SYS Turkey Meetin Sarasota, our athletes made a very impressive showing for the early season! Most of our swims were well ahead of results a year ago, so that is a strong indication of great training and effort over the summer and fall so far!

Our 1st time FLAG qualifiers include 8 year old Adrianna DiNofa, making the 10 and under cut in the 500 free! Next we had nine year old Melanie Kersten making her first cut in the 200 free! Next was nine year old Ares Oktay making his first cut in the 100 breaststroke! And our final first timer was fourteen year old Meghan Brown in the 100 backstroke! Congrats to these athletes and their first step up the ladder towards bigger and faster goals! The rest of our new FLAG qualifying swims included: Arianna Reed (100 IM), Peter Mihalev (200 free), Ryam Wadsworth (50 back / 100 fly), Bogdan Zverev (100 breast / 100 fly), Josh Kemp (100 fly), Amadeusz Knop (200 free, 50 back, 50 fly, 200 IM), William Wadsworth (200 free, 500 free, 50 breast, 50 fly, 200 IM), Sarah Koenig (50 free, 200 free, 1000 free, 400 IM), Natalie Stafford ( 200 free, 500 free, 200 back), Michelle Whelton (500 free, 100 fly), Calder Barrick (200 back, 200 IM, 400 IM), Colton Frantz (50 free, 100 back, 200 fly, 400 IM), Harrison Newi (400 IM), Charlie Plaisted (400 IM), and Joey Sacco (100 free, 200 free).
