Marlins were winners all around at the Fall Divisional Champs December 2-3 at our own beloved Marysville Pool. We were winners in the fact that our parent group rose up and did incredible work to make the meet flow like a swiftly moving stream. Also, it was the last hurrah of our great Meet Director Julie Delaney, who had a hand in many amazingly well run meets over the last 5 years. All meets from a dual meet in July, to the hosting of PNS Champs, were well run and a great feather in the cap for the reputation of the Mighty Marlins Swim Club! (Thank You Julie). The swimmers were also winners! Sakura Gabor led the way winning all 5 of her events and the overall pentathlon trophy! Other Marlins winning events included: Lucas Palmer in the 200 free and 200 back, Lloyd Hau in the 50 breast, and Kale Stewart in the 100 IM. A multitude of Marlins achieved top 16 status in multiple events: Alexa Gaydamachuk was top 16 in 6 events as was Karriann Paxton. Top 16 in 5 events included: Natalie Bennett, Emma Betancourt, Katherine Carlson, Andrew Gaydamachuk, Hallie Higgins, and Allen Pringle. In 4 events was: Nick Carlson, Katelyn Darrah, Makayla Sarsfield, and Lincoln Thompson. Swimmers with 1-3 top 16 finishes were: Zoe Bryant, Maggie Higgins, Nanako Kempma, Cameron Leary, Noah Paxton, Beau Pearson, Lorelei Pringle, and Alec Villa. Swimmers swimming best times included: Kalia McMahon, Hunter Robinson, Brie Thompson, and Asher Wilson! Way to go Marlins!
