The Surrey Knights brought 22 swimmers to Victoria this past weekend to take part in the annual PCS Christmas Cracker Invitational Swim Meet. There are too many highlights to note, but Coach Reg and Coach Dave were very impressed with the amount of second swims and best times achieved by the team over the weekend.
Ruishen Yu dominated the 100 Breaststroke, winning in a time of 1:01.90. This marked the top short course result in Canada this year for swimmers 17&under and a new club record.
Scott Pfiefer also achieved a national ranking with his 400 and 200 IM swims, both clubs records and top 3 national times for 16&under swimmers.
Other club records included Justice Migneault in the 200 Freestyle and 200 Butterfly, as well as Ellen Hayhoe who broke her previous mark in the 100 Breaststroke.
The Knights also recognized their top swimmers over the weekend. These where given to swimmers who went above and beyond in representing the values of the Surrey Knights. Congrats to Simran Bhandal and Brian Hao who won these awards for the weekend.
Great job Knights. Keep up the hard work.
