Varsity Vibes 1/3/18
  • This is important info

PRACTICE TOMORROW—With the inclement weather pending, you will get notified via email and/or text (if you signed up for it) if practice is cancelled.  DO NOT CALL THE FRONT DESK at the Y as they may find out after you!

Hope you enjoyed your holidays and are ready for the New Year!

Its been a very disappointing Holiday training week.  Unfortunately for those that were not here, it will be hard to catch up on your training after missing the 6 2 hour practices!  That being said, I look forward to some good training this week and some good swims at the next meets.  We are getting closer to the Regional Championship meet which will be the Championship meet for the varsity group.  In order to swim you will have to have competed in 1 sanction CT meet this season.  That would be the LC meet in October, The Winter Invite next weekend or the What meet in February.  Y States and our Thanksgiving meets are YMCA meets and do not count for eligibility.  Your times from those meets hold, but the entry does not count

13 & over Y States meet this weekend!

You need:

            Wahoo attire and yellow caps

            Warm clothes

            Racing Spirit!

Be in the gym at 6:40 am in your suits ready to be in the water at 7.  Report to Coach Matt and Coach Todd.  You will be in the gym which is why you need chairs until it is time for you to go on deck.  The gym might be cool so I would suggest some warm clothes!

King & Queen week #7

The entire squad in attendance are crowned the Kings and Queens of last week!

We did 21 club as the challenge.  There personal challenge was to complete 21 100’s of freestyle at the designated time.  They all did their best and completed the challenge, so therefore Coach Eric and I decided to crown everyone!
