Practice Changes this week: No practice at KCAC on Thursday or Friday due to the Washington Open Swim meet.   Practice will be at Sumner on Friday for those not helping/swimming at the meet.  Swimmers in the meet can come to KCAC to do meet warm-up between 5-7 PM.

There is no Saturday practice this week

Congratulations to all the VAST athletes that competed at the January Challenge! As a team we totaled over 140 new best times! The coaches were very impressed with how much improvement has been made in so many races since the beginning of the season. We also had new team record top 10 swims including Aidan Davis (200 free, 50 back), Faith Man (200 fly), Kyleigh Rychlik (25 free, 25 fly), Maddy Rohrer (100 IM), and Bryce Soriano (50 back, 200 back). Great job again to all our swimmers!

Volunteer hour policy : Some of you have asked about the volunteer requirement, you can find them here .   (scroll down)

Washington Open Jobs are open :  Thank you to all that have signed up to help.  This meet brings in over 1000 athletes from all across the Western states.   I did add some extra jobs to help alleviate the size of the meet and hope that we have enough volunteers .  As a reminder, once you work your hours, you can earn credit back on your bill  .   You can sign up to volunteer here.

Officials Training: If you would like to be an official (we need you!).   Officiating is a great way to get involved and support your child in the sport of swimming!  There is an officials training session at KCAC on January 10th at 6:45 PM.   For more information, contact Brad Tucker  wsutucker@gmail.com
