Whitworth Silver Practice Update
(Whitworth)Silver practice is at Whitworth the rest of this week from 5:30-6:30pm while we wait for the Fitness Center to get cleaned.
Locker Room Behavior and Expectations
There have been several incidents over the past few months of poor behavior/language from our swimmers in the locker room. Coaches have addressed the issue with the swimmers and reminded them that all swimmers are expected to be good stewards of our facilities, good teammates and good role models for the next generation of SWAT swimmers (“leave it better than you found it”). Parents, please help coaches remind the swimmers that this is an expectation, not an option, and that all swimmers are expected be respectful of the facilities we train or compete in and respectful of our teammates.
Both athletes and parents are also reminded that cell phone use in the locker room is not permitted for the safety of all swimmers. If you need to use your phone, you can wait until you exit the locker room.

January Storm Meet Results are in
SWAT had 29 swimmers make the trip to Walla Walla this past weekend for the January Storm. Congratulations to Swimmers, Piper Majors for Achieving her first Regional Qualifying Time in the 50 Free (27.97) and Eli Whitworth for Breaking the 11-12 Boys Team Record in the 1650 Free (20:53.22).
WA Open this weekend
23 swimmers are heading to Federal Way this weekend for the 2018 WA Open. This is a prelims/finals championship meet and a chance for us to match up against more of our Sectional competition as there are several teams from Oregon, Idaho, and Montana in attendance. This is going to be a good test for the athletes mid-season and will give coaches and athletes an idea of what we need to do the next nine weeks of training leading into our IE Champs, Regional and Sectional Championship this February and March.
This is a large meet and swimmers need to be ready for long sessions.
Make sure you are prepared! Bring extras: Caps, Goggles, Racing Suits, towels, water bottles, snacks, etc.
Swimmers also need to bring their school work/studying materials.
This is a large meet and when swimmers aren’t doing back to back events they will have a couple of long layovers with enough time to get school work done. Part of managing your time wisely includes knowing how to make good use of your time in between events at meets.
We leave tomorrow morning at 9am, Click Here for Wa Open Itinerary
