Niagara Regional Qualifier/Powerpoint Meets

The past 2 weekends, TWST had 72 athletes compete at the Niagara Regional Champs Qualifier in Eden and 63 athletes compete at the Junior/Senior PowerPoint Champs in Webster.  Both meets showed our dominance as a team and allowed our swimmers the opportunity to race.

In Eden, our swimmers posted 67% best times with 13 swimmers posting 100% Best Times for the meet.  Congratulations to Lucas Berdysiak, Jessica Drozdowski, Allison Jahnke, Paris Judy, Anders Kjellstrom, Devon Loehfelm, Alex Pawlowski, Amelia Pericak, Will Rudnicki, Makayla Scheu, Tori Spacciapolli, Ava Wagner and Christian Wilson!!!  TWST also had 25 swimmers qualify in one or more events to compete at the next level meet, the Championship Qualifier Meet in Tonawanda at the end of February.

The PowerPoint Meet was fast paced, keeping our swimmers racing, but TWST walked away with the win.  This meet is always an excellent opportunity to travel as a team allowing the swimmers and parents time to enjoy one another.  Thank you to our Team Dinner/Party Planners who spiced it up with a karaoke contest for the swimmers.  TWST had 4 swimmers win top honors with Power Point High Point awards-  For 12&Under girls, Elle Noecker grabbed 1st.  On the13&Older women’s side, Ella Mikulec was 3rd On the 13&Older men’s side, Daniel Bowen placed 1st and Christian Wilson was 2nd.  Excellent job!  Results from both meets are posted under the Meets/Events Tab on the website.

TWST currently has  63 athletes who have completed their IMX for the 2017-18 season and will be receiving bag tags!  Let's see if we can break our record of 106 athletes from last season...

We look forward to our Snowball Meet in a few weeks, volunteer sign ups will be available soon.  Please be sure to continue to check the calendar for practice changes and register your swimmers for meets.  Keep in mind, these weeks of practice are vital to set your athletes up for success for their Championship Meets in March.  Also be aware, there may be pool changes during March to better prepare swimmers who attend Championship level meets…coaches are still working on this.

Together, we can be successful.
