Congratulations to Harbir Grewal in the Top Age Group. He has been selected to the SwimBC LMR#3 Regional Training Camp in Chilliwack, BC on February 3rd weekend.
Grewal's 200 IM time ranked him high enough to secure his selection spot along with some of the other top 12-13 year old boys and girls in the region.
The camp's aim is to bring together some of the fastest swimmers of that age group and teach advance racing skills, training methodogies and tactics while under the tutelage of the BC Regional Coach, Pete Wilkins and Canadian Olympic Team member Alec Paige.
The camp runs Saturday and Sunday at the Chilliwack Leisure Centre. All costs for Grewal are covered by DSSC's performance fund.
Grewal's days will be busy with presentations from Olympic breaststroker Scott Dickens, and performance mental skills coach Carl Neinhuis. The camp is comprised of 3 pool sessions, and classroom lessons and activities.
Once again, congratulations to Harbir and good luck to future LMR camp prospects in DAG. These camps for the next season will be based off the short course 200 IM results from Tier 1 & 2.
