MONDAY MESSAGE FROM YOUR AQUAHAWG COACHES FOR January 29, 2018

PRACTICE SCHEDULE: Due to a high school meet Thursday, there is no afternoon practice on February 1st.  Regular practice Friday for all groups, and no Saturday or Sunday practice due to the AquaHawgs Invitational meet.

2018 ASI SENIOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MEET:  What a great meet for our Senior swimmers!  Many of our athletes saw significant time drops in their events.  This was the first year to hold the Senior Champs meet, and ASI is already working to make next year's event even better.  Final results:

  • Overall Team Standing – AquaHawgs 2nd Place
  • Womens Team Standing – AquaHawgs 2nd Place
  • Womens High Point – Audrey McKinnon 2nd Place
  • Womens High Point – Martina Thomas 3rd Place

AQUAHAWGS INVITATIONAL:  Meet information for this weekend’s AquaHawgs Invitational is now on the website.  Watch your email later in the week for final meet details.  Please remember to sign up for your volunteer position!

LAST CHANCE MEET:  This meet on February 17th is our final opportunity to qualify for season championships!  All swimmers should plan to participate in this meet.  Deadline to commit is February 6th, so make your commitment now!

2018 ASI 14-UNDER CHAMPIONSHIP MEET:  Qualifying times for this meet are BB Times – please see the eligibility report on the website.  Times in black are qualifying events; events with a red time or NT are events in which your swimmer could earn QTs in the next 2 meets.  Deadline to commit is Sunday, February 18th following the Last Chance Meet.

FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE RACES:  We will conclude the short course season with Friday Night at the Races on March 9th.  This fast, fun format is for Rookies, Hawgs, Junior Hawgs, and Wild Hawgs.  Following Friday Night at the Races, we will take a two-week break and resume practice on March 26th.
