Penticton Jamboree

On Sunday January 28th 18 I-Can-Swim athletes took to the Penticton pool to compete at the KISU Jamboree.  Combined we had 48 top 8 placings from our swimmers aged 5-12 years of age.

For some, this was their first jamboree complete with team warm ups, cheer and relay experiences.

For others this was a determined effort to break that ominous 4:00, 200 IM time to advance onto regional meets.  Coaches are pleased to announce that Morgan Rogalsky did just that with a tremendous swim clocking in at 3:59.11!  Morgan was 4 out of 4 for her personal best times, and had two first place swims and two second place swims and is our athlete of the meet.  Congratulations Morgan!

Other outstanding performances in the pool came from Ary Ducheck from ICS Stage 1 (3 out 4 best times), Oscar O’Brien from ICS Stage 2 (5 out of 5 best times), Kaitlyn Braam ICS Stage 3 (4 out of 4 best times) and finally from ICS Stage 4 Eva Braam (4 out of 4 best times) .

Honourable mention goes to Cassidy Martin, Amanda Muzzerall and Alexa Rogalsky who also had very impressive results at the meet with 100% best times

Our next jamboree is the KAJ Jamboree in Kelowna on Sunday March 4th.  This will be a co-hosted event with ORCA parents helping out with meet organization and officiating.  Details to come.

The ICS coaching staff will be preparing our swimmers for more success in the pool!
