Updates from last weekend's Columbus meet
WRA attended the annual Groundhog meet in Columbus last weekend, and we have a lot of exciting results to announce.
First, every team member earned at least 1 personal best time. With 21 swimmers in attendance, this is excellent team-wide performance, and we are proud of every swimmer who participated.
Of those swimmers, 9 earned 100% personal best times across all of their events: Ian Jackson, Claudia Johnson, Anastasia McCan, Ruby McGuigan, Noah Mixon, Westin Rankine, William Rankine, Sam Shelton, and Addison Winters each had a perfect meet.
A new team record was set by Hakeem Reid, who beat his own record in the 50 Breast, Swimming a 28.22, while also setting two meet records in the 50 Breast and 100 IM.
And last but not least, Ella Snow added 4 additional Age-Group State cuts, bringing her total to 10, along with earning her first Age-Group Sectionals cut in the 50 Fly.
WRA is continuing to have a strong season and we look forward to continued success at our upcoming Divisional meet, to be held in Savannah February 23rd-25th. Everyone should plan to attend. Additional details will be announced soon.
