Swimmers Compete with Heart at BB Mine Meet

Swimmers from 11 teams took to the pool at Raritan Valley Community College this weekend to compete in the Will You BB Mine meet. It was a great weekend for NJB. Our 30 attending swimmers garnered top places, Career Best Times, New Team Records, Gold times, and more. With swimmers getting faster every time they compete, what’s not to love…

About 48% of our swims (73 of our 152 splashes) were Career Best Times. While these are all worth celebrating, some were significant time drops like Reese Berg’s 100 Breast (-10.79), Salome Calderon’s 100 IM (-10.79), Anthony Carlson’s 100 Fly (-10.71), Jacob Conklin’s 200 IM (-29.02), Jake Leddy’s 1650 (-24.46), and Hannah Soutter’s 400 IM (-11.52).

Our Barracudas made their presence known with First Places by Jake Leddy (1650), Jordan Maruska (1650), and Michael Rizzo (400 IM)! There were also 16 other Top 3 Finishes!

NJ Swimming Gold Times were swum by Jillian Berg (100 Fly, 100 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free); Reese Berg (100 IM, 50 Breast, 50 Free); Zach Bezold (200 Breast); Ty Hollar (50 Back); Nathaniel Kern (100 Free, 100 IM, 50 Back, 50 Fly, 50 Free); Jake Leddy (1650); and Jordan Maruska (100 Back, 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free). There were also 57 Silver Times!
