Thunderbolts Make a Splash in Dryden


The Thunder Bay Thunderbolts had a successful weekend at the Dryden Splash hosted by the Dryden Dolphins Swim Club. The Thunderbolts were one of seven teams that attended the meet from across the region. The 17 BOLTS athletes had a great weekend winning 58 medals and achieving a number of personal bests over the course of the two day event.


Thunderbolts medal winners included;

8 Year Old and Unders:

Emily Agar (5 gold, 2 silver), Leo Fay (4 gold, 1 Silver, 2 bronze), Dante Martino (1 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze), Brock Balabuck (1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze) and Sierra Bourgeois (2 silver, 1 bronze)

9 and 10 Years Old:

Molly Hunt (3 gold, 3 bronze), Fenn Dobson (1 gold 1 silver 3 bronze), Rudy Balabuck (1 gold, 3 bronze), Russell Jackson (2 gold), Taylor Smallwood (1 gold, 1 bronze), Abbi Brown (2 silver, 2 bronze) and Benjamin Sunila (1 silver).

11 and 12 Year Olds:

Ryah Huver (1 gold) and Evah Gustafson (1 silver)


Swimmers who swan to top ten finishes and set personal best times were Riley Agar, Sidney Ball and Taylor Brown.

The Bolts relay teams raced to 2 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze.
