BC TIER 2 Provincial Results

What a great weekend of racing!

Summerland athletes teamed up with KAJ and competed under the K.W.I.C. banner at the tier 2 provincials in Kamloops March 2-4.

Orca had 6 members qualify for the Tier 2 Provincials:

Connor Berrisford, Holden Berrisford, Keagan Ingram, Tayla Ingram, Brooklyn Parliament and Taylor Smith

The meet was fast, fun and loud!!  KWIC finished in 5th place among all the teams in B.C.!!

Taylor broke 5 club records, and had the top individual finish at 9th place.  She qualified for the consolation finals in 100 and 200 back and bettered the club records with times of 1:05.64 and 2:19.27, both individual best times.

Brooklyn broke 2 club records and had a top finish of 11th place in the 50m freestyle.  She was also the anchor leg in the 18&U 4x50 relay that narrowly missed a medal finish in the last event of the meet.

Holden Berrisford swam in the first event and heat of the swim meet, and set the tone for the rest of the team.  His time in the 200 fly of 2:36.90 bettered the old club record set back in 2011.

Connor Berrisford also swam to a personal best time of 2:32.43 in the 200 backstroke winning his heat.

Keagan and Tayla were both absent due to illness.

TIER 1 Provincials:

Dezi Ducheck, Emily Jell, Arlo Kast, and Sydney Wilson will all be joining the K.W.I.C. team this weekend for some fast swimming.

Since the meet is right down the road, it would be great for our Orca athletes to come by and cheer on the group.

Sunday: 9:30-12:30AM  3:30-6:30

Nanaimo: Geared more to Age Group Swimmers.  Team Travel Meet with Kelowna.  Information online.
