BAD Winter Open Report

The March 3rd to 4th weekend was a busy one for the Brantford Aquatic Club with some swimmers competing in a HOBC meet and others at Provincials many swimmers competed in the Burlington Winter Open. 16 swimmers earned at least one medal at the meet.

Ashley Blasdell (13) earned gold in the 50 fly and silver in the 100 free and IM.

Maddison Blyth (15) earned gold in the 200IM and silver in the 200 fly.

Ellie Bolton earned a bronze in the 100IM and just missed another in the 50 breast finishing 4th.

Connor Cabral (12) earned gold in the 50 back and finished top eight in the 200 free, 200IM and 50 breast.

Alfonso Faria Espinoza (16) earned bronze in both the 100 fly and 200IM.

Erin Gibson (14) earned silver in both the 100 and 200 backstroke events.

Madelyne Gruenwald (10) earned a silver in the 200IM and finished 4th in the 200 free.

Isabel Langridge (12) earned bronze in the 200IM and finished 4th in the 50 breast.

Joshua McDougall (12) earned a silver in the 200 breast and a bronze in the 200IM.

Camryn Payne (14) earned silver in the 100 breast and bronze in the 200 breast and 50 fly.

Hunter Payne (11) earned silver in both the 100 fly and 100IM.

Mia Pelletier (15) earned a silver in the 100IM and bronze in the 100 fly.

Emily Smith (12) earned gold in the 100 fly, 100IM, 50 fly and 200IM as well as silver in the 100 and 200 free.

Jack Tran (11) earned gold in the 200IM and bronze in the 100breast, 200back, 200breast and 100 back.

Ashley Villamere (13) earned gold in the 100IM and 200 fly as well as silver in the 50 fly and bronze in the 100fly.

Lei Wu (15) earned silver in the 100IM and was 4th in the 200IM.

Many BAC swimmers at the meet lowered their personal bests in multiple events.

Natalie Atkins (12) set personal bests in all six of her individual events.

Digby Berridge (12) set personal bests in the 200 back and 50 back.
