The Tigers hosted SSF at the Tiger Tank last Friday during a brief hail storm and all teams earned wins while swimming to 31 personal best times. The Varsity boys won 118 to 47 and Varsity girls defeated SSF 127 to 37. The JV boys and girls swam unopposed.
The Varsity girls paced first in all 3 relays and won 7 of 8 individual events. Allison Wong continued her dominance of the distance freestyle events by winning the 200 and 500 yard freestyle. Cassie Smith won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke, Maia Haley placed first in the 50 freestyle and second in the 100 freestyle while Sara Olsen won the 100 fly and Kaycie Lindland won the 100 free.
The Varsity boys swam to 6 personal best swims. CJ Cothran bettered his time in the 200 yard individual medley and the 500 freestyle and Zach Zavodnik had personal best times in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle. Luka Goncharov won the 200 yard IM and 100 yard fly and Berg Guibadouline swam to firsts in the 200 and 100yard freestyle.
The JV boys continue to improve and had 10 personal best swims.Preston Woodworth dropped his time in the 100 yard backstroke by 5 seconds while Adian Roberts, Jack Ryan, Jason Wu and Aiden Selli all had personal best swims.
This year’s JV girls’ team is the largest JV team in a decade with over 30swimmers. Twelve personal best times were achieved. Faith Esparza dropped her time in the 50 fly by over 3.5 seconds.Isabella Dal Porto, Lila Franco, Roxy Trade, Nola Zimdars and Melissa Clinton all swam to personal best times.
The Team’s season continues Friday March 16 against Mills at their pool starting at 3:30pm.
