The 10 & Under Tigers Roared at the Sunday Splash!

On Sunday, March 11, 2018, our youngest FAST Tigers were in action at the FAST 10 & Under Sunday Splash. These young athletes were certainly ready to compete – and compete they did! Our 10 & under swimmers raced well, earned numerous lifetime best swims, and came away with almost all of the possible high point awards!

Racing to lifetime best swims were Agastya Anand (1), Drew Bakle (3), John Bancroft (3), Lucas Beaulieu (2), Evelyn BeDell (3), Santiago Castro (2), Liam Chop (2), Audrey Diehl (1), Destiny Dieu (3), Kiho Doura (3), Marcus Fudge (1), Nathan Gates (1), Dominic Henderson (1), Victor Herbert (1), Kain Hioki (3), Hayden Hollowell (1), Eshan Jain (1), George Kallas (2), Kanta Kataoka (2), Gabriel Kean (2), Mallory Kean (1), Alex Koo (4), Evan Makielski (1), Matthew Makielski (2), Mei Mamiya (2), Alexandra Nguyen (1), Brian Nguyen (1), Aleksander Nowacki (3), Madison Phillips (2), Emma Schumacher (3), Ken Smith (3), Emily Wolf (1), Demi Zhang (1), and Kevin Zhang (3).

Congratulations go out to the following swimmers who earned high point honors on Sunday. The 6 year-old high point winner was Liam Chop. For the 7 year-olds, Demi Zhang, Larkin Lee, and Mallory Kean finished 1-2-3 for the girls, while Aleksander Nowacki and Matthew Makileski tied for 1st for the boys. Delaney Wilson, Alex Nguyen, and Lexi Adams were the top 3 8 year-old girls and Tommy Mybeck and Dominic Henderson went 1-2 for the boys. The 9 year-old girls racing to the top 3 spots were Emily Wolf, Kiho Doura, and Mei Mamiya and the top 3 boys were Alex Koo, Marcus Fudge, and Hagen Lee. For the 10 year-old swimmers, Emma Schumacher, Lily Ziino, and Maddie Phillips went 1-2-3, while Kevin Zhang and Victor Herbert were the top 2 boys.

Finally, between the 10 & Under Splash and the Time Trial that followed, FAST swimmers earned 4 additional state cuts. Congratulations to Kevin Zhang, who earned new state cuts in both the 50 Breast and the 100 Breast; Eduardo Sanchez, who earned a new cut in the 100 Fly; and Diane Koo, who earned her 200 Back cut.

Congratulations to all our Tigers who raced on Sunday. What a way to finish the short course season. Way to go and Tiger Up!
