Spring Showdown Results

26 UPAC swimmers participated in the PN Spring Showdown in Federal Way this past weekend. UPAC swimmers performed outstanding with a few swimmers getting last chance time standards, multiple swimmers winning events, and personal best times posted all over the place. Complete meet results and an individual improvement report are attached. Way to go sharks!

 

Highlights of the meet included:

 

2 UPAC swimmers achieved their first ever Age Group Regional time standards. Gabi Bellin (13 Girls) qualified in her 100 and 200 Freestyle events, while Logan Kwon (14 Boys) qualified in his 200 Backstroke. Logan’s 200 Backstroke time of 2:07.57 also marked his first ever Western Age Group Zones Championship qualifying time. Age Group Regionals is the fastest possible Age Group meet swimmers can qualify for that is exclusive to swim teams from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Montana, Hawaii, and Wyoming; While the Western Age Group Zone Championships is the highest level of Age Group competition 14&Under swimmers can qualify for in the entire country. Congratulations Gabi and Logan!

 

Kody Feyedelem achieved his first ever Senior Champs qualifying time in the Boys 200 Backstroke. PNS Senior Champs is the highest level of swimming competition exclusive to Pacific Northwest swimming swimmers. Way to go Kody!

 

4 UPAC swimmers placed 1st overall in one or more events:

Logan Kwon (13-14 Boys): 200 Back

Keegan March (13-14 Boys): 200 Free

Madison Sotomayor (11-12 Girls): 200 Fly
