Club Records Broken at Swim Ontario Spring Provincials

COBRA Swim Club sent 18 swimmers from Squads 1, 2 and 3 to compete in Swim Ontario’s Spring Provincials on March 1 - 4, 2018. This long course meet took place at the Etobicoke Olympium Pool.

Jacob Stojanovic from Squad 3 broke a 35 year old club record in the 200 free LC for 11&12 year old boys by 0.88 seconds! Plus he broke his own month old record in the 50 free LC for 11&12 year old boys. AMAZING job Jacob!

Bar Nyhof from Squad 1 broke his own club record  for the 200 Breast LC  for 15&16 year old boys. Bar also won gold in this event! Spectacular job Bar!

Meeting the challenging qualifying times to compete in this province wide championship meet is what COBRA swimmers aspire for from the beginning of the season.

The following swimmers had top 10 finishes:

Bar Nyhof won gold in the 200 breast and placed 6th in the 400IM.

Abdullah Hussain won bronze in the 200 breast! He also placed 7th in the 200 breast and 9th in the 100 breast.

McKenna Spurrell won bronze in the 200 back!  She also placed 9th in the 100 back.

Chris Fox placed 4th in the 200 back and 5th in the 100 back.

Praim Ramlochan placed  5th in the 200 back and 7th in the 100 back.

Pablo Ortiz placed 8th in the 100 fly and 9th in the 50 free.

Melissa LeBlonc placed 8th in the 400IM, 9th in the 100 fly and 10th in the 200IM.

Kylie Collier placed 8th in the 200 breast and 10th in the 200IM.

Riya Chong Ling placed 8th in the 100 free.

Dilpreet Bhambra placed 10th in the 200 back.
