Day two and three of AB Spring Champs was a huge success for the Dino’s! There were some very exciting races, with many swimmers achieving personal bests, new competition cuts and club records!
DAY TWO highlights included:
-2 of our boys 4x100Free relay teams qualifying for CJC
-Hannah Bennett achieving her first Canadian Trials cut in 200IM
-Andrew Guo achieving his first CJC cut in 200IM
-Juan Castillo achieving his first Western cut in 200IM
-Juliana Jordan achieving her first Western cut in 100BK
-Three club records - Sydney Stewart (12 year 200Fly), Teagan McKenzie (13 year 100Bk) and Aiden Luykenaar (14 year 50Br)
DAY THREE highlights included:
-Laura Albers achieving her first Canadian Trials cut in 100Fly
-Matt Low achieving his first Western cut in 50Bk
-Molly Russell achieving her first Western cut in 200Br
-Three club records - Victoria Chen (10 year 50Bk), Eliza Housman (13 year 50Fr) and Emily Bugbee (12 year 200Br)
With a team score of 1197 points the Dino’s are currently in first place and are excited to race in the final two sessions tomorrow! Let’s go UCSC!
