MOST - 13 and over State Meet - Results

MOST - Meet Summery - 13 and over Michigan USA Swimming State Meet

​Fourteen swimmers attend this meet and they all swam phenomenally. These swimmers included Molly Allard, Tori Beels, Parker Brown, Emma Dutkiewicz, Hannah Gurecki, Brianne Lowe, Andrea Marasigan, Megan Marasigan, Ty Minton, Kyle Mowid, Stewart Nowinski, Lauren Paris, Aimee Radatz and Reid Schoenherr. This meet is a prelim/final meet. This means swimmers must finish in the top sixteen during prelims (morning swims) in order to return to compete in the finals (evening swims). Only the top sixteen finishes score points at this meet.

​The meet began in outstanding style on Thursday with the team of Parker Brown, Reid Schoenherr, Kyle Mowid and Stewart Nowinski competing in the 800 Free Relay.The boys finished in tenth place and drop 4.87 seconds on their entry time.

​The meet continued Friday morning with Hannah Gurecki finishing 28th in the 200 breast.Kyle Mowid also swim the 200 Breast and finished 19th improving his time by 7.02 seconds. Kyle also swam the 400 IM and improved his time by 4.74 seconds and finished 23rd. Stewart Nowinski competed in the 100 fly (finishing 20th and dropping 0.44 seconds - first time he ever broke 53.00 seconds in this event) and the 200 free in which he finished 21st. Reid Schoenherr also competed in the 200 free and he finished 36th in this event. Lauren Paris swam the 200 Free Friday morning and she finally broke the 2:00.00 mark posting a time of 1:59.79. This earned her a final position of 17th. 

Friday Ecening, during finals the team of Lauren Paris, Brianne Lowe, Hannah Gurecki and Molly Allard competed in the 400 Free Relay. The girls finished 19th and improved their time by 0.12 seconds. The team of Ty Minton, Reid Schoenherr, Kyle Mowid and Stewart Nowinski also competed in the 400 Free Relay. They finised 13th and improved their time by 7.58 secconds.

During prelims Saturday morning the girls qualified 2 different relays for the 200 Medley. The team of Emma Dutkiewicz, Hannah Gurecki, Molly Allard and Lauren Paris finished 13th and the team of Aimee Radatz, Andrea Marasigan, Megan Marasigan and Brianne Lowe finished 25th. The team of Ty Minton, Kyle Mowid, Reid Schoenherr and Stewart Nowinski finished 17th in the same event. In the 50 Free, Lauren Paris finished 23rd, Molly Allard finished 26th, Ried Scheonherr finished  44th and Stewart Nwinski qualified for finals by finishing 4th.

During finals Saturday evening Stewart improved his position to 3rd in the 50 free. Lauren Paris, Brianne Lowe, Hannah Gurecki and Molly Allard competed in the 200 free relay and finished 11th. The team of Ty Minton, Reid Schoenherr, Kyle Mowid and Stewart Nowinski also competed in he team 200 Free Relay and they finished 12th. of Ty Minton, Reid Schoenherr, Kyle Mowid and Stewart Nowinski.

​During Sunday morning prelims,3 teams competed in the 400 Medley Relay. The team of Emma Dutkiewicz, Hannah Gurecki, Molly Allard and Lauren Paris finished 15th and the team of Aimee Radatz, Andrea Marasigan, Megan Marasigan and Tori Beels finished 26th. On the boys side in the 400 Medley Relay, the team of Ty Minton, Kyle Mowid, Stewart Nowinski finished 14th. Every swimmer that competed during prelims in individual events Sunday morniing qualified for finals Sunday night. Hannah Gurecki and Kyle Mowid each qualified in the 100 Breast. Hannah finished 13th and Kyle finshed 15th. In the 100 Free, Lauren Paris finshed 7th and Stewart Nowinski finished 8th.

​The team finished 27th at the State meet and I am extremely proud of how each swimmer competed. I am looking forward to next season!
