Paul Pijulet and McKenzie Stevens SOTY

The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's swimming team won its fourth straight Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship on Saturday night, also capturing both swimmer of the year honors.  Senior McKenzie Stevens set an NCAA record in the 200-Yard Butterfly with a 1:57.62 and broke a mark that had stood since the 2014-15 season.  She placed 1st in the 200 IM 2:00.49, 200 free 1:47.65, and 200 fly. The Salisbury, N.C. native was named the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship Female Swimmer of the Year.  Senior Paul Pijulet, was named the BMC Championship Male Swimmer of the Year, and took first place in the 100 fly 45.95, 100 back 47.48 and 200 back 1:43.62.  Both athletes will be heading to the NCAA Championship next month, looking for a 4th team title in a row.
