Westerns day three brings more success for UCSC

Another excellent day for UCSC! The Dino’s finished the morning with 2 podium finishes for the 4x100 Medley relays. The Girls A team (T.McKenzie, K.Song, L.Albers, K.Rendall) ended up with the gold and the Boys A team (S.Castillo, K.Brill, N.Kennedy, C.Wang) ended up with the bronze. We also had a club record in the boys 14-year-old 50Br with Aiden Luykenaar ending the prelims session in a best time of 30.93.


We came into the finals session with a lot of energy! We had 4 club records, 4 podium finishes and a new Trials qualifier!

The Dino’s ended the evening off with a gold medal performance in the MIXED 4x100medley relay (S.Castillo, K.Brill, L.Albers, K.Rendall). This event also saw 32 of our UCSC swimmers represented all the way to the H-relay!


"Move of the Day"

Congratulations to Alicia L’Archeveque on winning the move of the day! Alicia, who is competing at her first Westerns, moved up 23 spots in 50Br and achieved a personal best in the event!


One more day to go for the Dinos at the Western Canadian Championships!
