Happy spring! We kicked off long course season this past weekend with the Voorhees meet in Topeka. We had a great meet with lots of personal best times! Some notable swims are listed below at the end of this message.
Please check out our newly updated website. It is still a work in progress so check back often for continued improvements. There is a lot of new information on the website for both Blue Springs and St. Joseph swimmers & families, as well as new families looking for a team.
Please follow us on Facebook at Kansas City Swim Academy & also Team Swim Academy Parent Group. You can follow us on Instagram at teamswimacademy. I posted a photo of 11 year old Layla Kingcannon on Instagram swimming her 100 breast at Voorhees with her big posse of teammates following alongside the pool cheering her on. She got a 20.30 second drop! Since I’ve posted that, several of our senior swimmers congratulated her on her accomplishment. So, I encourage you to follow us on both FB and Instagram and if your swimmer’s accomplishment gets posted sometime, you can show them the encouragement from our more senior swimmers who used to be in their shoes (or fins!). From encouraging one another at practice, cheering one another on at meets, or congratulating one another on social media when they are far away…our swimmers are all a part of the same team….KCSA.
