Coaching Staff Update
There are a few coaching changes which will take effect on Tuesday May 29, 2018.
Please extend a warm welcome to Shay Spelman who will return to the Tigersharks this summer as a Level IV Senior Assistant. Shay started swimming for the M.E. Lyons/Anderson Barracudas at the age of 8 and continued swimming through high school. While with the Barracudas, she was a 6 time YMCA Short Course Nationals qualifier and was a multiple top-16 finisher. She was also the YMCA National Champion in the 1500m Freestyle at YMCA Summer Nationals in 2011. Shay swam for Turpin High School and was a state qualifier and scorer for each of her four years. Shay recently graduated from Miami University with a degree in education. She was a member of the Miami University Women's Swim Team. For the RedHawks, she was a 4 time Mid-American Conference team member. Shay is extremely excited to continue being part of the YMCA program as a coach!
Due to an exciting and new professional opportunity, Coach Joy Wood will switch from Level IV and join the Level III Coaching Team. Joy has been a Tigershark Coach since 2009 and brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to the Level III practice group. She will maintain her team administrative duties through the summer with a focus on billing.
Coach Stacey Tepe will assume the position of Lead Level IV Coach at PCY. Stacey started her coaching career at Clippard YMCA in 2009. She has been PCY since the collaboration began in the Fall of 2013. She will continue to oversee Dryland and Conditioning for PCY Levels IV, V & VI and the administrative duties for the Clippard Division.
