Frequently asked COVID questions:

Q: Our family is high risk and will not be able to participate this year.  Will we be considered a returning member next year?

A: Our team’s philosophy has always been “Once a Stingray, always a Stingray”.  We will happily welcome back any of our Stingrays as returning members whenever they decide to return.

Q: If we let our registration money roll over from last year, how do you want us to re-register?

A:  If you let your registration money roll over from last year, you should have received an email.  If you did not, please email [email protected] and see the directions above.

Q:  Will refunds be offered for families who opted to roll their registration fees over to this year?

A:  Yes, if you would like to request a refund please email [email protected] by April 1st.

Q:  Is it possible to have in-person meets against local teams following the CCPS sports model?

A:  We are keeping an eye on the COVID metrics.  Decisions about virtual vs. in-person and spectators vs. no spectators will be made much closer to the season and be based on the pool capacity guidelines as directed by the local and state regulations

Q:  What will a virtual meet look like:

A:  We are working on a plan for this option should we need it.  It will likely be our team competing in our pool while the opposing team competes at their pool.  At the conclusion of the meet, the results from each team will be integrated with one another and the meet will be scored as if the teams competed at the same time and place.

Q:  Will you still let older swimmers volunteer as swimming lesson helpers?

A:  Yes, we will be accepting volunteers who are entering 7th grade and above.  Lesson volunteers will need to commit to the entire 2-week session.  We will be unable to utilize substitute volunteers this year due to contact tracing.

Q:  Will you be live streaming the meets if you have reduced spectator capacity?

A:  We would like to do this and will try to figure out how to make it happen.  We will be looking for people who have the technical expertise closer to the season.  If you think you can assist, please see a board member once practice has started.
