Letter From Coach Yannick

Dear Wave Families,

I am so excited to be sharing this news with you. As of this June, Medford Wave and Blue Wave Aquatics will be partnering and swimming under the club name, Blue Wave Aquatics (BWA).

Let me share some of the reasons why this partnership is beneficial to each and everyone of us.

From June 14 until August 6, 2021, 10-15 swimmers will be offered the opportunity to train long course with other BWA swimmers M-F from 8-10am and Saturday's 6-8am, This 8-week program comes with a very small additional cost of $50.00/swimmer.

All qualified swimmers will have an opportunity to attend long course meets with BWA swimmers starting this May 21-23, 2021 at GCIT. and NCSA Jr National Championships from August 10-14, 2021.

Next fall, there will be 3 travel meet opportunities with BWA swimmers. These include the December OLY invite at Indy NCSA age group and Jr. National Championships at Orlando

Partnering our teams will help make a larger team, for better team performance. We'll have better relays, we’ll have higher scoring in championships meets, and have a higher VCC score in MA, our Zone, and Nationally. Not only that, all swimmers will be eligible to break all BWA team records, which are updated on our BWA website after each meet

All swimmers will have a better swim meet schedule and will always be eligible to attend all the BWA hosted meets at Kroc Center. There are 5 already set up for the 2021-2022 swim season.

You will continue to see the high caliber level of coaching you have always seen, and the coaches who have been on deck these past few months will continue coaching at Medford and no worries, you will continue to see me at practice and meets as well as I have always been and will continue to be invested in your swimmers.

I, for one, am thrilled with this opportunity for our team and our swimmers and I hope you join me in welcoming this change for our team.

Sincerely,

Coach Yannick
