Greetings Senior and Junior Squad Parents and Swimmers.
Welcome back to swimming and we hope you enjoyed the short break. As we finish up our third week back in the pool, we are excited about having the opportunity to train long course on Saturday mornings. I have noticed that the attendance on Saturdays from the Junior squad has been very light and I would like to see a more concerted effort towards weekly practice attendance from all swimmers, with an emphasis on Saturdays.
Here are some areas parents and swimmers should focus on…
Equipment- Each swimmer should be prepared with all required equipment and a water bottle for each practice.
Dryland – begins next week Monday May 3rd – Junior – Monday/ Thursday 5:30 – 6:00 (GYM)
Senior – Tuesday / Thursday 4:30-5:00 (GYM)
When Covid-19 restrictions lighten up – anticipated date May 19 – we aim to have National Bridgers switch to one alternate day during a bridging day as a substitute for either Tuesday or Thursday.
SWIM- A THON – I have already donated towards this event – I would love to see 100% participation from all the families and swimmers – this is going to be a very fun and exciting opportunity for all – so getting to our websites home page and reading all team communications is paramount- even if your swimmer is currently not attending practice.
Swim meet sign ups – we have a May meet coming up – so when the sign up hits the website be sure to sign up.
Bubble down – Is slated for Wednesday May 12 – so there will be no practice or dryland on Tuesday May 11th or Thursday May 12th – we will be back on track for Thursday May 13th.
I hope you found this information – helpful and informative.
All my best, Coach Todd
