GMU LONG COURSE PRACTICE PROCEDURES
  • Access time is 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the group
  • 10 foot distance still applies when entering and on deck 
    • Teams will be reprimanded with loss of pool time, if this can not be followed
  • Swimmers in lanes 1-4 will enter the comp pool doors and go behind the starting blocks to the opposite wall where they will leave their bags
  • Numbers will be on the wall to show where items should be kept
  • Benches are behind the blocks and diving board to leave masks
  • Swimmers in lanes 5-8 will enter the comp pool doors and go to the left, there will be numbers on the wall to identify where belongings should be left
  • Numbers will be on the wall to show where items should be kept
  • Teams will continue to exit through the hospitality doors
  • Swimmers should not “hang out” on the deck before or after practice.  They should get on deck, get their clothes off, and get into their assigned lanes.  When exiting they should dry off, put clothes on, and exit.
